Tauquir’s Oggatonama awarded in Italy

Bangladeshi film Oggatonama (The Unnamed) has been conferred a Special Mention award at the Religion Today Film Festival held in Trento city of Italy.
The big screen venture directed by Tauquir Ahmed snatched such award for the fourth time in the foreign film festivals.
“We make a film after many difficulties. When a film or work is acclaimed and awarded, particularly in any international festival, it’s undoubtedly a matter of pride and joy,” Tauquir told the Prothom Alo from Italy.

In September last, Tauquir Ahmed achieved a unique feat as his film secured awards in two categories at Kosova Film Fest in Russia. Also a noted actor, Tauquir picked up the awards in the Best Screenplay and the Best Director categories.
Tauquir Ahmed also got an award as the best director in Washington DC Asian World Film Festival.
Mosharraf Karim, Nipun, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Shatabdi Wadud, Abul Hayat and Fazlur Rahman Babu stared in the film released early this year.
The plot of the film is scripted based on the life of Bangladeshi expatriates.
