Actress Purnima gets married

Popular Bangladeshi actress Dilara Hanif Purnima has got married for the second time.

Confirming the news, the actress told Prothom Alo on Wednesday, “It’s true that I’ve got married. The marriage was held around a month ago through a family arrangement.”

Purnima’s husband Ashfaqur Rahman Robin works at a non-government organisation in Dhaka.

Purnima said she got acquainted with Robin some four to five years ago and they developed a friendship.

“We later informed our families and they suggested it’s better we get married. The wedding took place at an in-house simple ceremony,” Purnima added.

The new couple haven't gone of their honeymoon yet, the actress said.

Purnima got married to Ahmed Jamal Fahad on 4 November 2007 and gave birth to a girl in 2014.
