Popular band Obscure's guitarist Christopher Gomez Prince is no more.

He was 45.

The bass guitarist, who joined Obscure in 2018, died of heart failure around 11:00am on Sunday, said the band's frontman Sayed Hasan Tipu.

"I had a conversation with him in the morning but within an hour I was informed that he is no more. It's sad," Tipu said to Prothom Alo.

According to Prince's family, the bassist, like other days, went to his office in the morning but felt sick. He was taken to National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh but physicians there declared him dead, they added.

Prince will be buried after a funeral rite in the capital's Farmgate church on Monday morning, Prince's family added.

Besides, being the bassist of Obscure, Prince worked as a sound engineer for an FM radio station.

Vocalist Tipu formed Obscure on 15 March, 1985 in Khulna.
