‘Sultan’ has great storyline: Mim
Bangladeshi actress Bidya Sinha Saha Mim and India's Jeet starrer ‘Sultan: The Saviour’ hit Bangladeshi theatres Friday.
However the film, directed by Indian filmmaker Raja Chanda, saw its Indian premiere 15 June.
In a recent interview with Prothom Alo, Mim opened up more about the film.
Prothom Alo: How was the promotion of ‘Sultan: The Saviour’ in Bangladesh?
Mim: Not much. Actually the film’s release date was fixed all of a sudden in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, I appeared on Facebook live and shared about the film with the film-lovers. Also, I talked about the film in several interviews with media.
Prothom Alo: But you took part in many promotion campaigns in Kolkata?
Mim: Right. In Tollywood, every film keeps a separate budget for promotional activities.
Prothom Alo: What do you expect from the film?
Mim: The film saw a good business in Kolkata. I hope the same will happen here in Bangladesh, too.
Prothom Alo: Why will Bangladeshi viewers watch the film?
Mim: Cinema is all about entertainment. This film has a great storyline. Besides, several Bangladeshi actors are there in the film and this, I guess, will attract the movie-lovers to watch the film.
