Female teacher raped by students

Amid widespread condemnation at the ever-increasing rape incidents in India, this time a female teacher of Uttar Pradesh has been allegedly kidnapped and raped by a group of students.
The 23-year-old teacher was raped in the Balwakheri village of Muzaffarnagar district on Saturday evening while the two friends of the accused, present on the spot, filmed the act, reports NDTV.
According to the rape victim, she, on her way back to home after giving tuition, was attacked by the accused who dragged her to an empty house and later phoned his friends who in their turn filmed the rape act.
The victim also said she had been threatened by the trio that they would post the video online if she discloses the fact to anyone.
The three accused who are college students, however, were arrested late on Saturday night under charges of rape and on charges under the IT act, according to the Indian satellite television channel.
This incident followed a similar rape incident taken place in Muzaffarnagar just two weeks ago. A 20-year-old woman was gang-raped by eight men, and circulated the video online.
Indian National crime records bureau statistics says that a total of 32,546 incidents of crime against women took place in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh last year and 3050 rape cases were filed, a number that one of the highest in the country.
