Indian writer Khushwant Singh dies

Internationally renowned author and journalist Khushwant Singh died on Thursday. He was 99.
Khushwant Singh, who was a Padma Vibhushan recipient, authored a dozen-odd books, including "Train to Pakistan" and "Delhi".
Khushwant Singh born in Hadali, now in Pakistan, he had, among others, served as the editor of The Illustrated Weekly of India and The Hindustan Times. He was also a member of parliament from 1980 to 1986.
At the age of 95, he wrote the novel "The Sunset Club".
