Onion outcry in India

The prices of onions have skyrocketed in Bangladesh and in couple of South Asian nations following India's ban on onion export to Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka till February. There was a huge outcry in those countries. The public backlash over increased prices of onions hits India as well. Activitsts and parliament members of India’s Aam Aadmi Party staged a series of protests in New Delhi and Amritsar against the spiralling prices of onions in the country.
