Tips to get rid of fatigue at work station
Do you feel exhaustion at office? Do you feel eye strains while using computer? A few simple tips are given here to help yourself get rid of the fatigue at your work. Occupational therapist S M Farhana Bin Hossain of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed advises four easy ways to take away exhaustion at office.
Take a brief walk
Working at the same position with the same style is not good for health. Try to take a short break. If possible, take a walk. While making phone calls you can also walk around the spaces on your floor.
Position of your head and neck
Take care of your head and neck while working for a long time at the desk. If you work keeping your head, neck and backbone on a straight line, it helps keep you relax. Set your computer at your eye-level.
Rest to your eyes
Follow the rule of 20-20-20. It means every 20 minutes, look at 20-foot away for 20 seconds. Sometimes, you may keep your eyes shut for a while. If there is any scope to look out in the sky or on a green patch, do that for a moment.
Don’t sit bending your back
Don’t bend your back while sitting at the desk. Your back should have a support with the chair. Your elbows should be kept close to your body while your head, neck and shoulders should be straight in line and your arms, wrists and hands should be kept parallel to the floor. Keep your mouse and key board at your easy reach while sitting in chair.
If aforementioned body positions are followed and you keep walking and do exercise, your exhaustion at the office will hopefully be minimal.
