Bangladesh’s first health assistant app

A mobile app has been developed to provide basic conceptions about various diseases and recommend qualified doctors at critical moments.

The useful app won the 1st prize at “Mobicon 2016”, organised by Google Developer Group (GDG) at Independent University in Dhaka.

Nizam Uddin, CEO of the app’s developer company ‘Rx71’, said, “This service was initiated after conducting a research for two years. We term it as a 360 degree service. We have started providing 5 of our services experimentally via our website. It’s important to mention that our mother tongue Bangla is used throughout the web pages. One of the services finds out the possible diseases of a person on the basis of his/her physical and mental symptoms. Moreover, a user can know the details of possible diseases and a recommended list of the doctors he/she can consult.”

The app has a large database on 579 diseases and 410 symptoms to raise health awareness among mass which fall in the Knowledgebase module. This module consists of detailed description of diseases, symptoms, cause, general question, health tips, animated video and many other things.

The food and nutrition module encompasses in-depth analysis of more than 300 local food’s nutritional value and its pros and cons. This section is furnished with an intelligent diet planner which will enable a person to make his own diet plan that best suits his physical condition.

There are more than 7500 doctor’s names, addresses, specialties and scanned copy of visiting cards in the Doctor Directory section. This service will help the general people to find appropriate doctor for proper treatment. Rating and review system for the doctor will help everyone to find the best doctor for certain purpose.

The Hospital Directory is enriched with detailed information of more than 700 hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centers. Through Rx71 Health App the doctor appointment system will be launched shortly.

With a view to automating every hospital in Bangladesh, Rx71 is working on HMS (Hospital Management System).
