National Biotechnology Fair 2019 begins
The second National Biotechnology Fair kicked off in the capital’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre on Friday, reports UNB.
It is being jointly organised by the National Institute of Biotechnology and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The two-day fair will end on 19 October.
Fifty-six government and nongovernment organisations, public and private university life science department, biotech based companies and concerns and research laboratories participated in the event. They set up 67 stalls at the fair ground.
Md Salimullah, director general of the National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB), presented the keynote at the inauguration of the fair.
Yeafesh Osman, minister of science and technology attended the programme as chief guest.
