Oscar-winning music Indian composer AR Rahman, American R&B and hip hop singer Akon and a number of leading local singers will perform in the BCB Celebration Concert at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday to mark the opening of the ICC World Twenty20.
The nearly five-hour unofficial opening ceremony, with the own fund of Bangladesh Cricket Board, of the 16-nation extravaganza will begin at 3:00pm.
Apart from the two internationally acclaimed artistes, two Bangladeshi bands –- LRB & Miles — will perform in the Celebration Concert along with renowned vocalists like Sabina Yasmin, Runa Laila, Arnob, Mamtaz and Kumar Biswajit.
