BCB bans Badal from cricket for life

A disciplinary committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday night banned Lutfar Rahman Badal, chairman of Premier Division Cricket Club ‘Legends of Rupganj’, for life from all kinds of cricketing activities for his derogatory remarks against the BCB top brass.

The committee also suspended Tariqul Islam Titu, joint secretary of ‘Legends of Rupganj’, for five years while Sabbir Ahmed Rubel, an official of the club, for three years from cricket.

The decision came from a meeting of the disciplinary committee around 11:00pm, BCB media manager Rabeed Imam told UNB.

Earlier in the evening, the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) suspended Lutfar Rahman Badal from all kinds of cricketing activities for his derogatory remarks against the BCB top officials.

It also recommended that the disciplinary committee take final action against Badal for his objectionable comments against BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon MP and other top board officials.

Meanwhile, in a letter sent to the BCB President Badal regretted for his comments.
