BCB terminates Sabbir contract
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has terminated the contract of all-rounder Sabbir Rahman and fined him Tk 2 million for assaulting a fan during a game of the National Cricket League.
Besides, he will not be able to play in any domestic game in the next six months, meaning the star will miss the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) and the Dhaka Premier League.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday afternoon, BCB president Nazmul Hassan said the recommendations had been made by the board's disciplinary committee.
They will be passed in the board's next meeting, he added.
However, Sabbir will still be able to play for the Tigers as it has nothing to do with the contract.
