Dynamites invite Riders to bat first

Dhaka Dynamites skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and opted to bowl first against Rangpur Riders in the second qualifier of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2019 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Group stage table topper Rangpur Riders were soundly defeated by the Comilla Victorians by 8 wickets with 7 balls remaining in the first qualifier.

The Dynamites, on the other hand, secured a spot in the second qualifier crushing Chittagong Vikings in the eliminator by 6 wickets with 20 balls remaining.

The Riders, depleted with the loss of AB de Villiers and Alex Hales, have a second shot at making the final if they can beat the Dynamites, unchanged from the eliminator against the Vikings.

The Riders made two changes in the squad from the last match. They have included Sohag Gazi and Mehedi Maruf in place of Nadif Chowdhury and Nazmul Islam.
