Dynamites invite Victorians to bat first

Dhaka Dynamites skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to field first in the all-important match against Comilla Victorians to progress into the next round of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2019 on Friday.

With 10 points from as many matches the Dynamites are currently in the fifth position, just below the Rajshahi Kings who have 12 points from 12 matches. Comilla Victorians, on the other hand, have already progressed into the next round.

At the toss Shakib said, “There's a little bit of moisture in the wicket and we want to bowl first. It's an important match - a sort of do-or-die game for us.” Victorians skipper Imrul Kayes, however, said he wanted to bat first anyway.

Dhaka will have another chance to progress into the next round even if they lose today’s match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium since they are ahead of Rajshahi in terms of net run rate.
