Frylinck fires Chittagong to thrilling win over Dhaka

An all-round performance from Dhaka Dynamites captain Shakib Al Hasan went in vain as Robbie Frylinck hit three sixes in four balls in the final over to lead Chittagong Vikings to a thrilling three-wicket win on Monday.

The Vikings needed 16 in the last over and the in-form South Africa all-rounder delivered in the tournament once again.

Their target of 140 was not a big one, yet they did struggle and were almost heading for a loss.

Frylinck, who earlier grabbed two wickets, slammed 25 off 10 deliveries while Mosaddek Hossain top-scored with 33 and Cameron Delport added 30. Captain Mushfiqur Rahim chipped in 22.

Shakib claimed four wickets for 16, yet could not save his team from the loss.

Earlier, his 34 helped Dhaka manage 139 for 9. Shuvagata Hom contributed 28 while Nurul Hasan added 27.

Delport bagged three wickets while man-of-the-match Frylinck and Abu Jayed both claimed two.
