Marshal stars as BD A clinch series

A brilliant batting performance by Marshal Ayub followed by bowlers extraordinary spells saw Bangladesh A team clinched the three-match unofficial ODI series with 2-1 victory beating Zimbabwe A by 31 runs in the third and last match held on Wednesday at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Thanks to skipper Ayub for his captaincy knock half century of 57 runs and opener Liton Kumar's priceless 46 that helped Bangladesh to post a moderate total of 239 for all from their allotted 50 overs after the host opted to bat first.
Taurai Muzarabani was the pick of Zimbabwe bolwers taking four wickets for 33 runs. He was well supported by Tafadzwa Kamungozi, who took two wickets giving away 35 runs.

In reply, Zimbabwe, despite Malcolm Waller fighting 52 run, found the chase very stiff losing wickets in regular intervals in the face of tight bowling attacks by the Bangladeshi bowlers and they finally able to pick up 208 for 8 from the stipulated 50 overs.
Mominul Haque and Elias Sunny were the most successful bowlers for Bangladesh, who claimed three wickets each giving away 36 and 53 runs respectively.
Marshal Ayub of Bangladesh was named the player of the match for his brilliant performance on the day.
