Although there’s an official song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup by Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez, singer Shakira on Thursday released a new music track for the tournament featuring appearances from several superstar footballers, including Argentinean strikers Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero and Brazilian striker Neymar.
Shakira had produced the official record for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, with her song ‘Waka waka’. Her effort this time around, ‘La la la (Brazil 2014)’, features some of the World Cup’s biggest stars.
Shakira’s fellow Colombian Radamel Falcao also features in the video despite doubts about his fitness for the tournament.
Shakira's husband and Barcelona defender Gerard Pique appears as well, along with their son, Milan.
Neymar’s Brazil are currently favuorites to go on and win the competition as hosts, while Messi and Aguero are two of several world-class attackers boasted by Argentina.
The title of the official theme song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup goes to Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez with their “We are One (“Ola, Ola”)” single.
