Nepal U-23 team to arrive Monday
A 24-member Nepal Under-23 national football team arrives on Monday in the city to play two international friendly matches against their Bangladesh counterpart.
The matches are scheduled to be held on August 26 and 29 in Army Stadium and Sylhet Divisional Stadium respectively.
The practice matches have been arranged for U-23 team as part of their preparations for the 17th Asian Games which will be held in the South Korean city of Incheon from September 19 to October 4.
Nepal U-23 squad: Goalkeeper: Alan Neupane, Bikesh Kuthu and Dinesh Thapa Magar; Defender- Bikram Lama, Ranjit Dhimal, Ajit Bhandari, Rabin Shrestha, Aditya Chaudhary, Sagar Thapa, Sandip Rai and Biraj Maharjan; Midfielder- Heman Gurung, Sushil KC, Prakash Budhathoki, Jagajeet Shrestha and Shyam Nepali; Forward- Bharat Shah, Bhola Nath Silwal, Asim Jung Karki and Amar Dangol.
Team officials: Head coach- Jack Stafanowski, Goalkeeping coach- Ritesh Thapa, Psychologist- Suraj Bhusal, Team manager- Ramesh Rayamajhi.
