Nepal skipper Raju Rijal made 72 to help his team score a decent 211 against Bangladesh in their ICC U19 World Cup quarterfinal match on Friday.

Winning the toss at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur, the Himalayan nation opted to bat first. The beginning was not an ideal one for them as Mohammad Saifuddin and Mehedi Hasan Rana struck in consecutive overs before they could even reach 20.

Rijal then tried to repair the early damage, first with the help of Sunil Dhamala (25) and then with Aarif Sheikh (21).

The Nepal skipper hit eight fours and a six in his 80-ball innings before becoming one of three Nepal batsmen to fall the victim of run out.

Saifuddin grabbed a brace for Bangladesh while Rana, captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Saleh Ahmed Shawon took one wicket each.
