Young Centurian

A right-back converted to central defense and filling in for Real Madrid's midfield when called upon, Sergio Ramos is one of the central pillars of Spain's epic success of victories in two Euros and a World Cup. He had 100 caps by age 26 and his athletic presence on the pitch is of world renown. He switched from Seville to Madrid as a teenaged superstar and has notched up 10 seasons with Real. He was the hero of their Champions League final win in 2014, equalising in injury time in an eventual 4-1 extra-time romp after also scoring twice in the semis. Although he gets sent off way too often, his borderline tactics and smothering of rival strikers is hugely effective. Always dangerous in attack from set pieces.
