Tamim hits maiden double ton

Opener Tamim Iqbal scored his maiden double century in test cricket on the 5th day of the match against Pakistan in Khulna on Saturday.
He hit a six off Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan delivery to reach 201. His double century came off 266 balls and the innings so far featured 17 fours and 7 sixes.
Tamim became the second Bangladeshi batsman to record double century after Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim (200 runs) against Sri Lanka in 2013.
Tamim's double century put Bangladesh into a strong position after the visitors made 628 runs with a lead of 296.
Tamim with the other opener Imrul Kayes recorded the highest third innings partnership of 312 and brought Bangladesh back to the contention.
Tamim eventually was stumped out after scoring 206 runs.
Mahmudullah Riyad (14 runs) and Shakib Al Hasan were leading the hosts to extend the lead further from 103 runs when 52 overs of the match were left on the last day.
