Athar Ali Khan tests Covid positive
Athar Ali Khan is remains missing from the commentary box in Durban’s Kingsmead Test between Bangladesh and South Africa as he has been diagnosed Covid.
Athar Ali Khan tested Covid positive before boarding a Durban-bound flight from Cape Town. Athar went to visit Cape Town after Bangladesh’s historic ODI series win in Centurion.
Talking with this correspondent from Cape Town, former Bangladesh cricketer and now commentator Athar said, “I don’t have any physical complications although I tested Covid positive. I’m doing fine. I’m supposed to undergo another Covid test within a day or two. I will join in commentary once tested negative.”
60-year old Athar represented Bangladesh in 19 ODI matches from 1988 to 1998.
