English all-rounder Moeen Ali arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday to play in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Comilla Victorians.
It will be Moeen’s second appearance in the premier league. He previously played in 2013 for the now-defunct Duronto Rajshahi.
The all-rounder has so far played a total of five BPL matches and batted in four innings to collect 46 runs. His BPL best score is 24 against Sylhet Royals, which is also now defunct, in Mirpur.
Moeen has played a total of 49 T20Is and 208 T20s so far. He has also played 34 matches in the Indian Premier League for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings.
Meanwhile, the Victorians have played four matches this season, winning three. They are currently at number two in the points table. In the next match, Comilla will take on the Chattogram Challengers in Mirpur on 3 February.
