Comilla Victorians were dismissed cheaply for 63 runs against Rangpur Riders in their second clash of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Riders skipper Masrhafe Bin Mortaza took his first four-wicket haul in the BPL, reports UNB.

Comilla's 63 is their lowest first-innings total and fourth lowest first-innings total in the history of BPL.

Winning the toss Rangpur invited the Victorians to bat first. Comilla were struggling from the start of their innings as they lost five wickets for just 18 runs. Mashrafe took four of them for 11 runs which was his best-ever bowling figure in a T20 match.

Mashrafe finished his bowling quota of four overs taking four wickets with 18 dot balls. The spectacular Mashrafe started his hunting with the wicket of Tamim Iqbal.

Taking four wickets for 11 runs, Mashrafe surpassed his previous BPL record of three wickets for 16 runs.

Shafiul Islam and Nazmul Islam Apu followed Mashrafe in a perfect manner as they took two wickets each.

While Shafiul Islam scalped Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Saifuddin, Nazmul Islam bagged the wickets of Shahid Afridi and Mahedi Hasan.

Shahid Afridi, the Pakistani super-star, saved the Victorians from more shame scoring 25 off 18 balls with the help of three 4s and one 6.

In their first match of the ongoing sixth season of the BPL, Victorians beat Sixers by four wickets. On the other hand, Rangpur won their previous match against Khulna Titans after losing the first match to Chittagong Vikings.
