Pacer Abu Jayed grabbed a five-wicket haul in his second ODI but a century from Paul Stirling and 94 by William Porterfield led Ireland to 292 for 8 in the final game of the Tri-Nation series on Wednesday.

Stirling and Porterfield made 174 in the third wicket, but Jayed claimed both of their wickets to make sure Ireland do not go past 300.

Stirling's 130-run innings featured eight fours and four sixes but captain Porterfield will not be happy to have missed a century for just six runs.

Jayed then struck twice more to unsettle the run wagon and Mohammad Saifuddin grabbed a brace in the last over.

Earlier, Ireland asked Bangladesh to bowl first in their last match at the group stage in Tri-Nation Series.

Young allrounder Mosaddek Hossain, opener Liton Das and pacer Rubel Hossain returned to the squad as Tigers have already confirmed their final in the series beating West Indies in the previous game..
