Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will take final decision on much-talked about Pakistan tour of the Bangladesh National Cricket team in its board meeting today (Sunday), reports UNB.

The Pakistan tour is originally scheduled for two-match Test and three-match T20 Internationals. But the BCB is not agreed to stay for a longer period in Pakistan due to security concerns. Keeping this in mind, BCB proposed to play the T20 series in Pakistan. But the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) did not agree on that.

They, however, sent an offer proposing Bangladesh to play the Test series in Pakistan and think about the T20 series sometimes later. BCB didn't agree on it and asked for more time to make the final decision.

"We are not going to Pakistan for a longer period of time. But still, we have to make a final decision regarding the tour. So we decided to make the final call in our next board meeting on January 12," BCB media and communication committee chairman Jalal Younus told UNB on 9 January.

The decisions might be a negative one because of the bombing in a mosque in Quetta, Baluchistan- a state of Pakistan on 10 January, which left at least 16 dead and 40 injured.

Meanwhile, former national captain Mushfiqur Rahim and all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad have told the board that they are hesitant about this tour. Most of the other players, however, said they are agreed but for a shorter period of time.

Most of the coaching staff are also reluctant to tour Pakistan due to security reason, but head coach, Russell Domingo, said he has no problem touring Pakistan if BCB allow the national team for the tour.
