CUET hosts int'l conference on innovation challenges in physics

A two day-long international conference of the physics department of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) began on Wednesday.

The theme of the conference is “Highlighting innovation challenges in
physics”.

A total of 250 scholars including teachers, scientists, researchers, experts and entrepreneurs from Australia, Canada, Japan, India, France,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Nigeria and Bangladesh will join the conference.

This was disclosed at a press meet held at CUET administrative Bhaban on Tuesday afternoon. Head of the physics department and chairman of the conference Mohiuddin addressed the press conference.

A total of three keynote speeches, two invited talks, 10 technical sessions and one poster projection will be presented at the conference.

Besides, 157 research articles including oral and poster projection have been finally approved for the conference.

Vice chancellor of CUET professor Rafiqul Alam inaugurated the conference as chief guest while Dr. Mohammad Mohiuddin presided over the inaugural function.

Professor emeritus of South East University M Shamsher Ali will attend as conference speaker.

Dean of engineering and technology faculty Mohammad Rezaul Karim, registrar professor Farukuzzaman Chowdhury will grace it as special guests.
