The Investment and Finance Club at the East West University hosted a two-day programme marking World Investor Week, 2019.

The programme was held on 2-3 October so that young investors take an interest in the capital market.

On the first day of the celebration, a competition styled “Finology Season 3 and composition writing competition” was held. It was followed by a seminar on “Challenges being faced by young investors in the emerging capital market".

Farhad Ahmed, executive director of Bangladesh Securities Exchange Commission, and Tabarak Hossain Bhuiyan, CEO of Prime Bank Investment Limited (PBIL), were present as guest speakers at the seminar.

Abdullah Abu Sayade, head of business and research at Dhaka Bank Securities Ltd, chaired the event.

Professor Tanbir Ahmed Chowdhury, a member of business administration faculty, along with other faculty members of the university, were present.
