German Resource Centre launched in Bangladesh
SSBCL, a Dhaka-based consulting organisation for students, has launched several branches of the German Resource Centre (GRC) at different locations in the country to help students get admitted to different German universities, says news agency UNB.
The announcement came from a press conference jointly organised by EIIE Germany and SSBCL, Bangladesh at a city hotel on Saturday.
Announcing the opening of the GRC, Sumon Talukder, chairman and managing director of SSBCL, said, “We’ve initiated German Resource Centres in Bangladesh to place Bangladeshi students in different German universities in a guaranteed way at a minimum cost.”
He further said, “Teachers from Germany will conduct German language courses, and examiners from Germany will certify the students after testing their language skill.”
Students will have to join German Language courses offered by GRC to complete A1, A2 and B1 level as per the German Embassy’s student visa requirement.
Later, a final examination will be conducted by the German authorities “telc” to provide certificate with acceptable score for admission to German universities, said the organisers.
