The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on Wednesday (17 July).

A top official of the education ministry confirmed the date to Prothom Alo earlier on 8 July.

"The results of the HSC and its equivalent examinations will be handed over to prime minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban at 10:00am today (Wednesday)," Abul Khair, public relations officer of the education ministry, told UNB on Tuesday.

He added, "Later, the results will be published at a press briefing at the education ministry at 12 noon."

This year the written tests of the HSC exams began on 1 April and concluded on 11 May. A total of 1,351,505 students of eight education boards took part in the exam.
