How to re-evaluate HSC results

The process of re-evaluating the results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations has begun.

The students, who are not happy with their HSC results, can request for rechecking the results from 18 to 24 July, says a notice published on the website of Dhaka Education Board.

Applying for rechecking one paper will cost them Tk 150.

The students can apply for re-evaluating their results through using Teletalk SIM (subscriber identity module) cards. For this, one needs to type: RSC-space- first three letters of the board -space- roll number -space- subject code and send it to 16222.

Example: RSC -space -DHA- space -1234 -space- 101.

If the message is sent, mobile operator Teletalk will send a reply with a PIN number and again one will need to type RSC- space -YES-space-PIN number-space-mobile phone number and send it to 16222.

Afterwards, Teletalk will send a tracking number and it will have to be preserved by the applicants.

Example: RSC-space -YES- space -0099-space-01534-173785.

As high as 73.93 per cent students cleared this year's HSC and equivalent examinations. A total of 988,172 candidates among 1,336,629 students cleared the tests.

This year, 47,286 students achieved GPA 5.

The overall pass rate of the eight general education board is 71.85 per cent. For the madrasa board, the rate is 88.56 per cent. Meanwhile, 82.62 per cent vocational board candidates cleared the exams.

HSC and equivalent examinations began on 1 April and concluded on 11 May.
