Nahid promises new generation quality education

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid has reiterated the government’s firm resolve of winning over the challenge of ensuring quality education for the new generation.

"The government is working to present before the nation a world-class education system based on knowledge and technology and imbued with morality," he said while presiding over a discussion at education ministry on Thursday, said a press release on Friday.

The minister said the government will take measures to stop coaching note books businesses and other irregularities as per the suggestions of academicians and experts.

President of Bishwa Sahitya Kendra prof. Abdullah Abu Sayeed, prof. Dijen Sharma, Trusty board director of East West University Mohammad Farashuddin, emeritus prof of BRAC University Manzoor Ahmed, pro-vice chancellor of Dhaka University prof. Akhteruzzaman, Shahjalal Science and Technology University prof. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal also spoke, among others.
