RUET celebrates University Day

Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) celebrated “University Day” amid joy, enthusiasm and fanfare marking its 15th founding anniversary on Saturday.

The day’s programme began in the morning with hoisting of national flag followed by plantation of tree saplings on campus.

Vice-chancellor (VC) of the university professor Rafiqul Islam Sheikh opened the daylong programmes.

Marking the day, a number of teachers, students and staff brought out a colourful rally that paraded through the campus. A discussion was also held at the Central auditorium.

Addressing a brief meeting on the occasion, VC professor Islam sought cooperation from all quarters to run the university peacefully and successfully.
