IU shapla forum election Saturday

The election to the executive body of shapla forum, an Awami League (AL) backed progressive teachers' alliance of Islamic University, will be held on the campus in Kushtia on Saturday, reports UNB.

The election would be held at the Momotaz Building of the university from 9:30am to 12:30pm, shapla forum election commissioner professor Sarwar Murshed said on Friday.

A total of 30 candidates would contest for 15 posts including president and secretary in the election. All sorts of necessary preparations have already been taken to hold the election in a peaceful atmosphere, Sarwar Murshed said.
