JUST student suspended for hurting religious sentiment

The authorities of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) on Saturday suspended a student as he allegedly posted negative remarks about idols of Hindu religion.

The suspended student was identified as Shakil Hawladar, second year student of Math Department.

A showcause notice was also issued against him seeking explanation why his studentship should not be cancelled forever.

University authorities also formed a five-member probe body to investigate the matter.
