The residential halls of Rajshahi University (RU) reopened on Sunday after the closure of around 18 months due to the coronavirus pandemic, reports UNB.

The students started to enter their respective halls at 10:00am on condition of showing their valid university credential and vaccination certificate.

The university administration decided to reopen the halls at a meeting of academic council on 30 September.

The authorities have issued some instructions including wearing masks while staying at halls. Basins have been set up in front of the dormitories to wash the students’ hands.
