SSC exams will begin on 14 March

The Ministry of Education has moved away from its earlier plan to hold the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations-2027 from 7 January.

Under the new decision, the examinations will begin on 14 March instead of 7 January 2027.

The Ministry of Education approved the examination schedule today, Monday.

Discussions had been underway on starting the examinations in March, taking into account the holy month of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr and feedback from parents.

Education officials had earlier indicated that the examinations could begin in mid-March. The decision has now been finalised.
