38th BCS results today
The final results of the 38th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination is set to be published today, officials have said.
The results will be published after a meeting of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) this afternoon, sources said.
Class one gazetted cadre officials are recruited through BCS examinations. However, the government has started recruitment from the waiting lists for non-cadre officials recently to avoid the hassle of the recruitment process.
The government will recruit 2,400 cadre officers through this BCS examination.
As many as 9,862 candidates passed the written examinations in which 14,546 candidates appeared.
Those who passed the written examinations faced a viva voce held in February.
The written examinations ended on 13 August 2019 while the preliminary examinations were held on 29 December 2017.
As many as 389,468 jobs seekers took the preliminary examinations.
