Recruitment tests postponed due to surge in Covid cases
Amid the surge of Omicron, a new variant of Covid-19, the government instructed all government, semi-government, autonomous, non-government offices to run with half of their manpower.
Several government organisations and agencies also issued notice postponing their recruitment tests.
However, new dates for the postponed tests have not been announced yet.
Following government offices suspend the recruitment tests.
Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) Foundation
The recruitment test for the assistant manager of Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) Foundation was secluded to be held on 28 January. The test was postponed and a notice issued to this end. It also said that new date for the test would be announced later.
Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (CPGCBL)
Recruitment tests for the personal secretary and the receptionist of Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (CPGCBL) were scheduled to be held at Dhaka University on 29 January. CPGCBL issued a notice stating the test has been postponed due to the surge in coronavirus.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC)
The recruitment test for office assistant cum computer typist of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) was scheduled to be held at 10 centres in Dhaka city on 28 January. The test was postponed for unavoidable circumstance. New test schedule will be published on the BIWTC website and candidate will be informed through SMS.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)
The written test for the assistant inspector at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons, according to a circular issued by the ACC. The test was scheduled to be held from 10:00am to 2:00pm on 29 January.
Department of Fisheries
The recruitment test for field assistant of the Hilsa Resource Development Management Project under the fisheries department was postponed. A circular published on the fisheries department's website said the test that was scheduled to be held on 28 January has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. New test date and schedule will be announced later.
