Group painting exhibition ‘Prothom Parbo’ begins Friday

A group painting exhibition titled 'Prothom Parbo' (The First Chapter) by 'Outdoor Artist Group' will begin at Galerie Zoom of Alliance Française de Dhaka in the city on Friday.

The participating artists are: Agoy Paul, Diptha Modak, M Faijul Islam, Nafisa Hossin Peo, Nasrin Zahan Onika, Saiful Islam, Sheikh Sarmina Mannan, Sumaiya Sharmin and Trisha Ferdoushi, reports UNB.

After the inaugural ceremony, the exhibition will remain open to all till 11 August, said a press release on Wednesday.

Joint secretary of shipping ministry and project director Saiful Hassan Badal will attend the inaugural session as the chief guest.

Artist Rezaun Nabi, chief news editor of ATN Bnagla Rumi Noman and chairman of fine Arts of University of Development Alternative (UODA) professor Shahjahan Ahmed Bikash will also attend the opening ceremony as special guests.

The participants of this group art exhibition are students of fine arts at the University of Development Alternative (UODA).

The media used for realising the artworks were not restricted to conventional materials and most of the works has their bases in nature, said the press release.

Though these nine budding artists are exhibiting as a group, their styles and interpretation of artistic imagination are unique to each of them, it said.

The participating artists are an intense observer of their surrounding ambiences and they meticulously projected them.
