Rajshahi College adjudged as country’s best for 4th consecutive time

Rajshahi College has been adjudged as the country’s best educational institution for the fourth consecutive time this year for its outstanding performance in various fields like the previous years of 2016, 2017 and 2018, reports BSS.

The education ministry has ranked the college as the country’s best one in National Education Week-2019 Competition on Wednesday, said professor Habibur Rahman, principal of the college, today (Thursday).

Simultaneously, the ministry also declared Shahrin Promy, an eleventh grader of the college, as best student in college level. Zakir Hossain, another fourth year student in Department of History, has also been declared as best in Quirat group.

Professor Rahman said every year the education ministry brings all the colleges throughout the country under ranking on 19 indicators including number of students and their results, number of highest degree-holding teachers, college environment, water and sanitation.

Earlier, National University was also declared the college as the country’s best one based on its ranking consecutively in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Rajshahi College stopped enrolling higher secondary students in 1996 but again started enrolling them from the session 2010-2011.
