5th Int’l conference on IC4ME2 begins at RU

A two-day 5th international conference on Computer, Communication, Chemical, Materials and Electronic Engineering (IC4ME2) began at Rajshahi University (RU) in Rajshahi on Thursday.

Faculty of Engineering of the university is hosting the conference with the main theme of networking and collaboration.

RU vice-chancellor professor M Abdus Sobhan addressed the inaugural session as chief guest while vice-chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology professor Rafiqul Islam Sheikh and RU pro-vice chancellors professor Ananda Kumar Saha and professor Chawdhury Zakaria spoke as special guests.

Scientific adviser of Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation professor Mobarak Hossain Khan addressed the ceremony as focal person.

Professor Seliya Shahnaz from department of electric and electronics engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology also spoke on the occasion. Dean of the engineering faculty professor Ekramul Hamid welcomed the participants.

Around 400 papers will be presented — in 24 technical sessions — in the two-day conference besides three keynote papers and five invited talks.

More than four hundred researchers, academicians, professors from 11

countries including the USA, Japan, Spain, Malaysia, the UK, Sweden and India are taking part in the grand event.
