Female students achieve better results than male in HSC

Female students have achieved better results compared to the male ones in this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations, reports UNB.

A total of 633,629 females took part in the exam and secured 76.44 per cent pass rate while 703,000 male took part in the exam and got 71.67 per cent under 10 education boards this year, according to a press release.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina appreciated the results and said, "The results are sufficiently acceptable and good."

A total of 988,172 candidates among 1,336,629 students passed the tests. As many as 47,286 students achieved highest grade GPA 5.
