The admission test for the first-year honours courses in Mymensingh's Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU ) under 2019-20 academic session will begin on 17 November.
The university’s acting registrar, Humayun Kabir, said the date was fixed at a meeting of the Bangladesh University Council on Monday.
He also said details of the admission test will be published on its website and through newspaper.
Founded in 2005 in Mymensingh's Trishal, JKKNIU began its journey on 1 March of the year, according to the website of the university.
It added that the university was originally conceived to be built as the first cultural university in Bangladesh, but the JKKNIU Act enacted in 2006 made it a general university with a special focus on performing arts education and research.
