40th BCS written exams begin 4 Jan

The written test of 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations will begin from 4 January 2020.

The decision was taken at a special meeting of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPCS) on Tuesday.

PSC public relations officer Israt Sharmin confirmed this to Prothom Alo.

According to the meeting sources, the compulsory subjects will be held between 4 and 8 January.

The date of other examinations will be announced later.

The preliminary test for 40th BCS was held on 3 May 2019.

As many as 327,000 aspirants attended the examinations and of them, 20,277 candidates passed.
