Four students of the Institute of Health Economics of Dhaka University (DU) have been conferred given Director’s Award for their outstanding academic performances in BSS and MSS examinations, reports UNB.

The awardees include Muhammad Ihsan-Ul-Kabir, Fariha Kadir and Md. Mahfujur Rahman and Ashraful Kibria.

DU vice-chancellor Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the awards among the students as the chief guest at Mohammad Habibullah Conference Hall of the university on Wednesday.

Director of the Institute of Health Economics Nasrin Sultana presided over the event while dean of social sciences faculty Sadeka Halim and dean of business studies faculty Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam addressed it as special guests.

Speaking on the occasion, the DU vice-chancellor said, “Time has come to think about how to adapt to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We need to create world-class graduates who will contribute to achieving SDGs (sustainable development goals).”
