DU rejects proposed uniform admission test

Dhaka University authorities have decided not to take part in the uniform admission test arranged by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The decision was made at an academic council meeting on Monday afternoon, Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) president Maksud Kamal confirmed Prothom Alo.

Earlier, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Chittagong University authorities rejected the combined admission test system.

On 13 February, the UGC decided to hold a uniform entry test for all public universities from the academic year of 2020-2021 to reduce sufferings of students and their guardians.
