Rainfall across Bangladesh to continue

Heavy to very heavy falls may occur at different places over Bangladesh in the next 24 hours, according to Met office.

In a forecast made on Saturday morning, it said, the ongoing rainfall almost all over the country may continue in the next three days.

Weathermen have predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions until Sunday morning.

As monsoon is active over the country, "rainfall activity may continue" in the next 72 hours, added the Met office.

Dhaka experienced 43mm rainfall in the past 24 hours till Saturday morning.

The Met office recorded the country's highest rainfall during the period in Tetulia that saw 332mm rainfall, followed by Rangamati with 259mm rainfall, Simla with 214mm, Sitakundo with 176mm, Syedpur with 168mm, Rangpur with 159mm, Dinajpur with 154mm, Badalgachhi with 134mm, Netrokona with 123mm, Sylhet with 117mm, Tangail with 109mm and Mymensingh with 100mm rainfall.
