Mymensingh-Jamalpur rail link snapped

The train communication between Mymensingh and Jamalpur remained snapped for 15 hours following derailment of a local train at Mintu College Road intersection in Mymensingh on Sunday night, reports UNB.

Railway station superintendent Jahirul Islam, said ‘Dewanganj local train’ veered off the track around 8:30pm as it collided with the motorcycle on a level crossing in the area.

However, no one was hurt.

After the incident, a relief train came to spot and to start the salvage work.

Meanwhile, a four-member probe committee, led by railway traffic inspector Nurul Islam, has been formed.
